
College Athletic Scholarships Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates for the position of the two-year fixed term contract of Ireland Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Social Gerontology, NUI Galway-based. This is a key post in a research project, funded by philanthropist Atlantic, which examines intergenerational solidarity and justice in Ireland. The successful candidate will work with other Research Fellow based at Trinity College Dublin, with the project Principal Investigator Dr Virpi Timonen (TCD) and Professor Thomas Scharf (NUI Galway), and with other collaborating scientists, including colleagues at the Institute Lifecourse NUI Galway new. The College Athletic Scholarships project will be conducted in accordance with the design of the study and dissemination plan prepared by the investigators Main. Involves implementing and analyzing a total of 100 semi-structured interviews with men and women of various ages, with a view to interrogating the four cohorts different perceptions and views about intergenerational solidarity in Ireland. appointed to investigate and use different sampling strategies for collecting samples, organize and carry out up to 50 interviews in Galway and surrounding areas, organize and analyze the interview data (external transcribed); report co-author and academic publications on the basis of these data, communicate findings to a diverse audience, including interest / advocacy groups and policy makers, and assist in organizing conferences, focus groups and other events related to the project.
